We contacted Ladina Schopf - interior designer, architect and founder of LS Projects - for her advice on how to choose the right one. They evaluated the capacity of storage as well as layout, energy efficiency, and other features.

GE Profile Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

Like the name suggests, the GE Profile series targets those who want to incorporate cutting-edge technology in their kitchen. This fridge is loaded with these, from an inside-the-door Keurig K-cup coffee maker to a clever water dispenser. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. The refrigerator is expensive and I expected more.

This refrigerator is a good option, despite the slight blip. It has a huge freezer compartment, which is unusual for counter-depth French door fridges. It also has a large capacity for frozen food items compared to other models.

The fridge is equipped with 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet, which is standard for a French-door refrigerator at this price. It has a decent-sized freezer in the left side. However it's not the most spacious one I've seen.

You can alter the shelving in both compartments to create a customized storage layout for what you want to keep. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is attractive. The LED lighting is a nice touch and the storage bins feature an additional shelf that folds down to make it possible to store items that are tall. The drawers have temperature controls that let you set them to Meat, Beverage or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, but I found their textured plastic coatings a bit difficult on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with all the features you would expect from a refrigerator within this price range. This includes Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app is compatible with iOS and Android devices and lets you control your refrigerator from anywhere around the world. It also offers a lot of customization options. It also sends you notifications when doors are left open, when the refrigerator or freezer needs to be defrosted and when it's time to change the filter.

It is nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill it's an option in a handful of other GE fridges that allow you to set the number of cups of water you'd like to disperse at once. It does have an indicator on the fridge's display to show how much water you have remaining, but that's not as effective as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a stunning piece of equipment. It's designed to look like it's a seamless part in your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also features a veggie compartment that keeps fruits and vegetables fresher for longer periods, and two compressors to preserve food items. The ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient, and it produces an ice pyramid with only a little water. This fridge is ideal for a single family or kitchenette that needs an elegant design and top of the line food preservation.

This fridge was the top-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators Test for several reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained stable at just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit, never moving by more than a fraction an inch. This is essential in preventing freezer burn. The fridge's fridge section also performed well, reaching the desired temperature for initial set within an hour and keeping the temperature constant over the course of our testing.

Bosch is known for its top-quality appliances. Therefore, it's not a surprise that the Bosch counter depth fridge can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's platform Home Connect. The app lets you monitor and control your refrigerator remotely from your tablet or smartphone. The refrigerator is pricey however, it offers excellent features and functions at a reasonable cost.

While the fridge is an incredible piece of equipment but it's important to be aware of the limitations. It has a small shelf space, which means you may need to be creative when storing tall objects. The shelves aren't spillproof and can easily be stained or damaged by sharp items. The trays are easily removed from the fridge. However, they should be cleaned frequently to stop the growth of mold.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S is an excellent counter-depth refrigerator that packs plenty of storage into the frame's compact size. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge has an ordinary French door design, with two rows of shelving with spill-capture and a set crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded in order to create more space for tall items. You'll also find a full width deli drawer and an internal water dispenser.

This refrigerator has a freezer with an ice maker making it easy to transfer the ice when needed. The freezer also features thoughtful design features, such as sliding drawers that can help you organize your belongings. It also has a huge bin that can accommodate plenty of frozen food items as well as a separate container for storing ice.

Another cool feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. You can control the temperature, lighting and other aspects of your refrigerator from your smartphone. It's a nice way to control and monitor your refrigerator, especially when you're away from home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat, but it doesn't necessarily enhance the performance of the fridge. This fridge took longer to defrost food and chill it than the other fridges we test. This is likely due to the greater capacity.

The other issue we have with this refrigerator is its doors. They have sunken handles at the front, which allows smaller people to open them from the bottom, however they're difficult for taller people to guide shut without slamming them. It would have been better if they had handles mounted on the front.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a ideal option for those looking to combine the benefits of a French-door refrigerator's aesthetics with a more efficient layout. Its capacity is above average for counter-depth models, and it cools evenly. It's also a little less than the best counter depth refrigerator that comes with an ice maker, which makes it an attractive choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a good option if you want a French-door fridge that doesn't break the budget. It's a basic refrigerator that might not be as attractive like some of its competitors however it has enough features to make it a suitable option.  french door fridge freezers  is the adjustable temperature drawer which helps keep food items like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge ice maker and a water dispenser.

Another nice feature is the "Chill Drawer" that sits above the two crisper bins. This drawer lets you direct the majority of the refrigerator's cooling power to the area so that you can keep food items that require special attention. You can alter this feature by using the slider located on the on the outside of the drawer. You can also set the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I've noticed that the generic settings are more effective than the specific ones.

In my tests, I found that the temperatures in the refrigerator were fairly consistent in different areas of the refrigerator. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the refrigerator did not differ much from 38 degrees. This is a great performance however it doesn't be among the top in our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also pair this fridge with a smart thermometer to get more precise measurements of your fridge's internal temperature.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from grey-bodied stainless with a "smudge proof" finish.  french style fridge freezer  does a great job of repelling fingerprints and streaks even when compared to the glossy stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tested.
